I'm currently working as an Environment and Outsourcing supporting Artist at Sony London Studio, working on the newly announced PlayStation VR exclusive Blood and Truth. London Studio was responsible for VR worlds, with it's most popular addition The Heist, Sony decided to further explore it's London gangster setting in a fully fleshed out adventure.
I was offered a position to help support our OS vendors while personally contributing artwork to the game. I speak directly to OS artists, ensuring communication and consistency is maintained and all artwork matches inhouse art direction. To achieve this I manage OS wiki's and documentation, liaise with art leads and directors for both internal and external partners, and communicate directly with individual OS artists. With the rest of the internal OS team, I create briefs detailing requirements, ensure dilivery is maintained to the highest standard, as well as intergrating work when required.
I also create high detail assets for the game for both environments and props. I utilise all the tools that our OS vendors which improves my ability to communicate fundamental artistic direction. This becomes especially important as VR is so new, I have to rely on my own artistic background in addition to working with both internal and external art teams as we are constantly met with new challenges.
As the project is not yet released, I can not go in to detail, but these shots were publically released by Sony to promote the game. Each image shows work I have contributed to in someway, mostly in supporting our OS venders dilivery of assets.
